• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Frusterated, need help.

Yeah...wrappers blow up because the moisture content of the filler is greater than the wrapper. Your cigars could have an ambient humidity level that is higher than what your setup is putting out. Your new cigars could take weeks to equalize to your settings....which is one of the reasons why...

    ISO Cigar Mechanic

Yeah, but I wanted to get the box fixed so I don't get that pissed feeling when I smoke one. So far, 2 have been plugged out of the 3 I've smoked. The thread's supposed to be humerous, but it would be cool to send a box to the mechanic to get fixed.

Just because it's Cuban doesn't ensure that it's good. Ever heard of Guantanamera cigars?:rolling::rolling::rolling: A gifted cigar is cool because if you haven't had it before it might make you search out a box. Provenance for a gifted cigar shouldn't be that important unless you were looking...

    Frusterated, need help.

If you squeeze the cigar gently, it should have a little spring to it. If you squeeze it and it stays deformed, it's to wet. Dry box it for a while before you smoke it and see if that helps. You can also run the cigar under running water (make sure you remove the excess water off) for a second...

    Thoughts on Tatuaje...?

I'm going to have to try out the Spanish Galleon Corojo for shits & giggles. Now the only problem is if word gets around that they are similar, Lew Rothman might pick them up and sell them as JR alternatives.:rolling:

    ISO Cigar Mechanic

Yeah...it sounds funny but really...I need a good cigar mechanic. I have a box of expensive A's that are a little on the plugged side. (2000 box). I got to thinking that I could send it back and ask for a replacement but it's a bad year for cigars in general. What we need as a community is a...

You really can't go by appearances, you need to smoke one to see if it's any good or not. Kurt nailed it on the head when he said the only true test is to smoke it. The real pleasure is in smoking a cigar...not looking at it.

    Tats and Illusione cigars

Funny, I think it's the other way around for me. The MK is awesome...it has the profile of the Illusione, but it is completely different than any of the illusiones I have smoked. I really think that this is a rare cigar- one that just grooves from start to finish.
