  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    It's a humidor. Has a little compartment at the rear for a Boveda packet. That's what I use. The maduro is better than the regular Bender. Very smooth and has some sweetness. They are huge though, and burn forever in my experience (smoked 4 so far). Edit: just saw your edit :)

    Nice pickup! Never heard of them, but I guarantee you will like them...at least the first five, anyway :). Your tastes will change almost weekly if you smoke a lot. My first was Onyx Reserve Torpedos..

    Or any of the Family Blends, 44, 45, 46, 85, etc. Even if you have never tried them...you'll like 'em :) Congrats on your collegiate athletic adventure. I would have loved to play sports in college.

    You can get great results from tupperware. Get the type that has a little rubber ring in the lid. They hold humidity steady like a mofo. Don't feel bad about the Monty's...I bought a fake Cohiba fiver when I was new to cigars and I paid $100 for it :)

    I smoked the previous versions, but I just can't remember how they differed, if at all. Sorry. I bought a box of #1's in January and it's about half gone. Love 'em.

    Started on cigar band art.

    I often hate to throw out the elaborate bands, like La Aroma De Cuba, and others. The LADC EE band has a really cool scenic on it. On one of the other forums long ago some guy made a coffee table with a glass top and hundreds of bands under the glass. It was nice!

    I've always been a fair-weather Bears fan (born in DeKalb, Ill.) and I agree with you. They can't seem to get over the hump, no matter what...If I were an NFL player, I'd want to be a Bear :) I think the '85 Bears were the best team ever. I loved that crew..

    I had to choose between a box of Fuente Hemi Signature Maduro and a box of 52's...I got the Fuente's, but I'm having some second thoughts... Sometimes I wish I lived in Nicaragua and would not always be in need of humi space. I could just keep my stash in crates in the backyard :)

    VA blows!!!

    I'm sorry to hear this, man. Truly. The VA did me ok in the 80s with the GI Bill, but it wasn't nearly as painless as it should have been, even then.
