• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    and that stinks btw. Beetles are scary. I've gotten them in two cigars that came in the same batch of stuff I bought from a friend.

    I'm no expert in humidity or beetles. But from what I've read, it has much to do with temperature and not as much to do with container/humidor.

    I've honestly just put my cigars in wineador, cabinet, cooler, etc., put beads and let them be. They have a way of stabilizing. However, this is not common as most people suggest much seasoning. Problem is after you put the cigars in, humidity had a way of changing.

    Open the door for 45 minutes. Close the door. Safer than plugging it in and cooling it down. If that doesn't work, try it again. and congrats on the purchase.

    I believe hygrometers account for the different temperatures and offer up real humidity. At least that's what they claim.
