• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Kitty Litter anyone?

Nice gesture. Plenty of people use it. Fun to make fun of though. :transform

    Hawaiian Vodka

I was wondering if that would be the case. Not uncommon for people who want to get into Whiskey start off with Vodka or something along those lines. No aging needed so it brings cash in much quicker, allowing the business to stay afloat until they can get a backlog of whiskey aging. Never...

    Retire a Millionaire

OK, I don't want to pull the thread to much farther off track here, but I'm not sure we are on the same page, because I'm lost, lol. I'm not sure how the two relate? I was just saying that home owners are going to be stuck with their homes for longer than they might otherwise be because of the...

    Hawaiian Vodka

Nice write up! Now, let us know when Dave gets to putting together some nice Whiskey.

    Retire a Millionaire

INVENTORY, not sales. Inventory being low means there are not a lot of houses available. That's what we want, inventory to go down so that prices start heading back up. Here you go: So yeah, even though the inventory news is positive, the sales news still sucks. And this is new homes only...

    Retire a Millionaire

No ifs about it, bro'. And it's not just "approaching retirement age" as in, "Oh, hey, I'm 60, maybe I should ease up on the risk..." You should really be adjusting your retirement account throughout the time you are working. I would say at a minimum, every 10 years you should look at your...

    Retire a Millionaire

Did you stop putting money in? No? Then you are just buying low. Unless you are near retirement and still invested at a high-risk rate, you really shouldn't be overly worried about this. It's not that it's a great thing, but it's not nearly as bad as some tend to think.

    Retire a Millionaire

At a MINIMUM, you need to put in 5%. Your company is basically offering you a 5% raise. Why would you turn it down? Every 401k option I've ever seen has options to let you customize the amount of risk you are willing to take. Something to keep in mind though, at 28 you have a...

    Retire a Millionaire

That's a good goal for those making that kind of scratch, Michael. Not all of us are nearly that lucky. Just sayin'.

    Retire a Millionaire

Put away what you can! Even if it's only a few percent. Start at 3%. Trust me, with it being pre-tax dollars, you will be surprised how small the difference is in your take home check, and you WILL learn to live without it. If you take anything away from this thread/that article, it should be...

    Retire a Millionaire

A good look at the hard, ugly truth. The numbers are doable for the 25 year old. If you are making $32K or more it's 10% or less. Once you start hitting the 35 year old mark you better be in the $60K/year range and it's still going to hurt like hell. $775/month? That's over 15% you need to...

    Cigars in drawers or boxes?

See the above three posts. I haven't had drawers up until now, but now that I do, the above is exactly what I'm doing.

State Police Can Suck Data out of Cell Phones in Under Two Minutes

Assuming, as the article suggests, there are LEOs out there simply grabbing phones from people they pull over and plugging them into these things. I have to say, that sounds a bit unlikely to me. If it is happening, it's not the phone or this piece of equipment that is the problem, it's the...

State Police Can Suck Data out of Cell Phones in Under Two Minutes

I have no issue with the use of devices like this WHEN they are used within the framework of the 4th Amendment. Which, IMH, yet uneducated O when it comes to LE, means such devices have no place in patrol cars. It's a forensics tool.

San Cristobal Cigars to Get Rid of 3 Vitolas Soon

Have an untouched box of the Oficios resting. Based on Fitze's description, I may have to break into them. For whatever reason I've never gotten into the SC line, though I did smoke through a box of el principes that I really enjoyed.

    Do 67% beads exist?

I'm not sure about that. The Heartfelt beads are designed to hold their set point, that's kind of the point with them.

    Do 67% beads exist?

I've not used them yet but they have a great reputation. Be sure to read up on them a little, they have a few different properties than the Heartfelt (not good or bad, just different). I've heard many who believe they react faster as well.

    Opinion on this Handgun

This. It has a great reputation, but everyone is different in what they prefer. Should be fairly easy to find one to shoot, they are popular and likely to be rental fodder at the local ranges.
