• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Know the feeling. I'm about to track down the kid writing the Eragon series and throttle his ass.

    Side Businesses

My wife and I have a small pet products online store. Been up for about a year now. Don't know what this "extra cash" is, though. Unless it's all the money going out!

I don't enjoy reading books on my iPhone. Too small.

    So what'cha readin'???

If you are getting ready to start in on Hunger Games, make sure you have the next two books handy. They read fairly quickly to begin with, but trust me, you will have trouble putting them down. EXCELLENT series.

Which one, Dave? The wife went with the Color Nook.

    Kindle

Who's got one? Picked up a Kindle 3 recently and just finished my first book on it. I didn't have any issues at all adjusting to reading on the Kindle and I really like the fact that I can now jump right into another book that's already loaded and know that when I'm done there I've got a few...

    Lancero Questions

Aha, someone got there before me. Dave, have you had the Monte Especial #1? These are by far one of my favorite smokes. 7.5" by 37 RG, Laguito #1 size. A wonderful and refined smoke. Still not cheap, but cheaper than the Cohibas and Trinis. I think they run $250-$275.

    New Humidor, High RH

You're good, Grim. As has been noted, many vendors ship sticks on the "wet" side. You can either let things take their natural course or you can take the beads out, let them dry some and pop them back in so they will suck up more of the moisture a bit quicker. Either way, it's likely to take...

    New Humidor, High RH

Grim, when you say you made sure the humidor was stable, what do you mean? How did you season the humidor and how long did that take? I would keep an eye on the RH (temp is steady, right?) and see what happens. It should settle down pretty quickly. You can also check the beads to see how...

    My Poor Neglected Cigars

Sonarman hit on the most important question. What conditions are we talking about? Just because your sticks were left alone for a year doesn't necessarily mean that all is lost or even that you are in that difficult of a position. If you had a good humidification device in a humidor with a...

    New Humidor (seasoning in progress)!!!

Huh. I steer away from Thompson for pretty much everything, but that is a nice looking Humi. Congrats and enjoy!

    New Humidor (seasoning in progress)!!!

Where's the humidor from? That's pretty cool. I really like the included digital, someone finally figured out they should be doing that.
