BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

How long should they "soak"
DX, temperature and RH are linked. When it gets colder, the amount of water vapor that the air can "hold" decreases, therefor the RH increases. So, when the temps dipped, the amount of water vapor that was in the air caused the RH to jump. Your humidification device (beads I'm assuming?)... -

Reloading
I bought a set up a while back, but I honestly don't shoot enough. The point is to shoot more when you reload, but reloading didn't add any more time to my schedule, so it didn't work! ;) Getting licensed? I don't know what your means are, but if you have them, strongly, STRONGLY consider an ACOG. I can tell you now that I'd have one in a heartbeat if I had the cash. Favorite Stout?

Uh, yeah, you could say that! LOL. When you consider my average score is around 120, I didn't do that terribly. PSD, do you mean the Por Larranaga? If so, not too much, I think it was 3-4 years old? The Monte should be around 8-10 years at this point though I'm not positive as the QC... -

Nice pistol. I have the HK UPSC, don't think you could go wrong eith either, just a matter of features. Of course, if I was in the market I would probably be looking at H&K's newest, the P30. Great pistol.- Jwrussell

Question for all you chefs
Yep, I haven't done one (yet), but I wouldn't use a good beer for this. I've got some cans of Busch Lite or some such that sits in my fridge because someone left them there and I would use those. Good luck and let us know how it goes! -

WOAH!:thinkidea Are you trying to calibrate an analog (non-digital) hygrometer???? If so, I just found your problem. The reason you aren't getting consistent readings is because it's an analog hygrometer. Those things are good for nothing but decoration. Get yourself a digital ASAP... -

Guys, the salt test is a make-shift way of doing things. It can be hit or miss and is open for errors on our end. Get yourself a Boveda calibration pack. Giants hit it on the head on the time as well. You need to let this go for a while and temperature fluctuations will affect readings... -

Not to toot my own horn, as I wrote this, but check out this stickied thread: Seasoning Check the calibration on your hygro again, it can't hurt and it will at least let you know you've removed the most important variable. Anything you do to correct the issue will only cause further... -
A primer on humidification and seasoning
I wasn't trying to say otherwise, bro, but good points. Lots of, "it depends" with something like this. You can certainly let the RH go higher before pulling the water out, 70-75% is just where I tend to start looking to do so. But that's with adding in a hydration source (beads etc.). -
