• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hi from Kalgoorlie (600km from ANYWHERE)

Hey BOTL's, My name is Mitch, I live in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, which as you've already gathered is a long way from anywhere. I haven't been smoking long, bit I have been enjoying all the singles I received in a newbie trade not long ago. I'm a fitter machinist by trade, and brew my own...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

I had a perdomo lot 23 robusto, with a homebrew rye IPA. Great way to relax on a Sunday afternoon. Plus the AFL pre season has started, and my team had a win. Great day all round.

Well, I know my package is in Australia, as I got a letter from customs yesterday. $132.00 in taxes to pay. Small price to pay for what would more than likely cost twice as much here in Aus.

What do you do and what else do you do?

I'm a fitter machinist by trade, and work for the water corporation in Western Australia. I initially did my time on a gold mine, but I got sick of that and...

    A thought

I see this a lot in the craft beer sector too. For example - the malt profile changes, or the hops aren't as aromatic, or lack a distinctive quality they had last year. And it is all down to weather conditions. Beers change from season to season, because the barley got more rain this season, or...
