BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Tonight's trial blend is only 5 days old. The leaves were as follows : .5 Piloto Cubano seco 1 Mata Fina .5 Dominican ligero .5 Dominican binder (which is Piloto cubano ) Ecuador Shade Seco for wrapper. Sounds good B, I'll make some with more MF, skipping the BV. I don't have Columbia seco so that one's out. I agree that simpler is better sometimes. My first success was 1.5 Nicaraguan Seco: 1.5 Nicaraguan Ligero. Made that based on @blisscigarco formulas for blending/weighting.- Jim D

If I had a recipe for Espresso Bean, I'd be trying to make those (@Hopduro ) but since I don't, I'm going for this blend: Piloto Cubano Seco Brazilian Viso Mata Fina Dominican Ligero They'll be bound with Dominican binder, some wrapped in ECSS, some PA Oscuro. I'm also working in some...- Jim D

Not that I'm aware of! It just takes me too long to figure out what I like. By the time I figured out a blend I liked last time, when I ordered more, the ligero looked totally different. Anyway, on to the next blend!- Jim D

Adventures in home rolling
So after 15 months in the humidor, the broadleaf bound and wrapped stogies burn, even if a bit wonky still. Problem today is that an inch into it, my kids now want dinner! First world problems, I tell you what. I'm glad that's all I can complain about today!- Jim D

Changing toothpaste made a huge difference in cigar flavor.
Very true, but will all the great smokes be even better after going SLS free? Is SLS the reason orange juice is nasty after brushing your teeth? This might be worth trying out to see what else may improve beyond the cigars in our daily consumption...- Jim D
