• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

  • I am thankful for all of my BOTL friends! Everyone please be safe and enjoy your time with family, friends who however you are choosing to spend the day!

    Cohiba Behike size preference?

Well it probably wouldn't take a whole heckuva lot for em to "say" they're still made with that leaf....even if it were at a fraction of what was used in the initial releases.. Funny how these things can manifest themselves. Not sure there will be any hard evidence one way or the other...just...

    Cohiba Behike size preference?

how about this part? Any truth to either of these, or are these simply rumors... Oh, and Tom... PM sent. :halfgrinw

    Cohiba Behike size preference?

I'm sure not too many here have smoked all 3, but if you have...which did you prefer? Some folks I assume will avoid the 56 altogether due to the girth there, but anyone find something different in one versus the other? Also curious if anyone knows if there's enough medio tiempo leaf to go...

    Your Personal Top 5

Currently on a CC kick personally... PSD4 Trinidad Robo T Cohiba Robusto Monte 2 / Petit Edmundo I feel like I could smoke a rotation of the above for quite a while (not that I have too of course)... And I'll sprinkle in an NC here and there which would be a Tat 7th Reserva, Opus, Liga 9 &...

    Padron 1964 Anniversary SI-15 Natural

interesting concept and certainly unique. Figured there had to be something more to it....and that explains it.

    Partagas Series D No. 4

The PSD4 is quickly becoming my favorite go-to cigar. Price is right, flavors are exactly what I'm looking for....and the 2010s are smoking great IMO...at least the couple I've had thus far. Another box of these is on the horizon for me for sure.

    Padron 1964 Anniversary SI-15 Natural

Just an observation here...but in your write-ups you never seem to offer an actual opinion on the cigar, and whether you liked/loved/hated it. You might do that in your video, but I'd rather not spend 10-15 minutes watching somebody smoke to get their thoughts. An opinion would just be nice...

    Partagas Series P No. 2

this might mean something, had someone who'd been smoking cigars longer than a year said it. You just can't help yourself can you?

I'll be in Portland, OR - what's your recommendation

El Gaucho Steak house has a nice cigar lounge... or there's Kell's Irish Pub that also has a cigar bar downstairs. Much more dark & dungeon like though... El Gaucho is by far the best bet for downtown IMO.....and you can also eat in the cigar lounge as well....and the menu is much more...

    What's in your golf bag?

I'm getting my Ping Irons regripped with these as we speak: http://www.winngrips.com/?event=product.detail&id=146&gripType=wood_iron This will be my second set of Winn grips, and I personally love em'. They don't perform great when it's raining (pretty slick), but the "feel" is second to...

    Your last cuban cigar?

Ya know...I'm inclined to say the same. The last 07 PSD4 I smoked was stellar. Only thing holdin' me back is if it's my "last".....I want it to LAST.... For that reason......I'll go with a 2003 Monte 2 .

Restaurants you have to eat at before you die

Mama's Fish House....on Maui. I will eat there again someday, no doubt about it. Amazing food, and the scenery can't possibly get any better.

Montecristo no. 2 vs Diplomatico no. 2

you sure are an inquisitive feller :nodlaugh: Don't fret though, I've been there pretty recently with cc's myself...and probably ain't done yet. Yes, he was referring to the Upmann #2. Nice part for you is you can get the Monte 2 and PSP2 (Partagas) in 10 ct boxes, so I'd suggest that...

Montecristo no. 2 vs Diplomatico no. 2

Very true Jim....although I'd bet over 70% of those voters, maybe less...I admit I'm guessing, haven't smoked all cigars there, or even just the Monte 2 and Dip 2 for that matter. Montes are popular so will likely get smoked 1st by almost anyone branching out to Cc's, myself included....and end...

    Tubos

Only playing Devils advocate here....which is a role I enjoy from time to time, but I read a post from a Mod on another respectable CC forum (which I know you're a member of as well Ben..as are several here) that differs in opinion to this. My knowledge/experience is minimal compared to most...
