The reason for recharging boveda is obvious, because they are no longer actively giving off humidity. If you have a setup that requires you to not have to recharge the bovedas, then why have them? Most prefer to use just boveads as they are some of the most accurate 2-way humidification devices...

Highly recommend Bovedas. You can re-hydrate them as well.

If you decide to stick with heartfelt beads, it looks like you will need around 40ish ounces of beads based off your measurements in your first post.

Kitty Litter. There are specific ones you can use, I couldn't tell you the brand, but there are a few posts around here about it.

I keep my wino at 65/65. Chances are that the hygro is off. The boveda packs are some of the most accurate 2-way humidity you can get. As Jon mentioned, @sofc , the resident RH know all, will be by shortly.

Ew, not Thompson. Never had a good experience with them. You can usually find better deals than their 5 pack fevers as well. I hope your having good service with them!
