I recently discovered Pease's Fillmore, a red Virginia-and-Périque blend, delectable for people who love the sec semi-sweet taste of red Virginia.

If you want rubbed tobacco, buy ready-rubbed, or ribbon cut. I like flake because it smokes slower, and it's thus cooler. Also, the flavour is more intense. So I don't rub it at all. I fold it and stuff it into the pipe. This makes it hard to light, but once it gets going, it's heaven.
