In a nutshell, it an application loaded onto a fire stick that looks for free live streams from the internet and streams them to your tv. You can watch live tv, sports, movies without additional charges. Sometimes the quality isn't the greatest but it's a pretty good trade off

I don't subscribe to it but I do have the Amazon fire stick with the Kodi app so I can basically watch any out of market game
