I believe WWII did help, as did the Roosevelt's "New Deal" which really help spur the economy. I guess it created a lot of jobs. It had it's share of failures as well.

Actually the first tax return came out in 1914, pre-depression. I only know because dad is a CPA and he a has a copy of one hanging. Care to rethink the depression as the cause? :usaflag:
