    any TV experts

We went with a 720 last January and got a 56" (TV is about 16" deep not a wall hanger) for under $1000 delivered. From what I understand if the quality of picture on a standard DVD is good enough for you, this can save you lots of money. Unless you go with a Blu Ray or HD DVD you will not even...

How many boxes do you acquire per year?

I've been sticking with my rule of only buy it if I like it... Well except for the box of El Triunfador and two boxes of Franks this month... But, I'm gonna stick too it now... well, except for the box of CT Tribute 08, but those were planned on already so they don't count. Yep I'm in...

    It's a Small World

We were neighbors when I was about three and he was a couple years older. He went to High School with my older brother, and I with one of his younger brothers. Jefferson City is small, we know lots of the same people, it was great to chat and catch up as I haven't lived there for 22 years now.

    Cut Cigars in 1/2?

I tend to feel that the first inch of a cigar is often not as good as "once it gets going" and the last inch and a half can get bitter. So if you take a 6 inch cigar that has a sweet spot of 3 1/2 inches, you may just end up with two cigars with a sweet spot of 1/2 inch. So a one hour cigar may...

    Why use the term ISOM?

ISOM is far more accurate, considering all the fake Cubans out there. Say that and just about all the cigars people say are ISOM's really are ISOM, just not Cuban!

    Gun Control, very funny!

Way to go, Me and the wife carry every day.

    Why use the term ISOM?

I think it probably started with people wanting to be able to say cuban cigar in a way that seasoned people would know what they were talking about and others wouldn't know. But with Google, anybody who wants to know will figure it out.

    F*ck Altadis

I don't side with Altadis, but living in south Florida, I understand the other side of the argument. These brands were built up by families over generations, and when Castro stole their land, homes, stores, and factories he also stole their brand names. These people took some seed and started...

    ISOM basic selections. UPDATED 11-03-2008

Maybe we could put a star next to the top ten or something for a shorter list of where to start? I think some like PSD4's, Mont#2 etc. would be easy top picks. Great thread by the way.

CAO Vision much better with age.

If you buy a box and sell the empty humidor on Ebad for 75-100 its not a bad priced cigar for what you get, paying 12-20 for a single, yea it's more than the smoke is worth. It's a stretch to say this cigar needs years of aging, it has obvious benefits to age it though, my first smoke was a...
