One of the best cigars I've ever had was an 03' Parti 898 that I had re-wrapped with Nica Habano wrapper in Esteli. Determining how much flavor is effected by different wrappers is subjective, but in my experience with this and many other sticks, wrapper definitely has a HUGE impact on flavor...

I preferred the Rosado on original SS, but with the new SS, LE's, Danno & Dominicano I definitely favor the Oscuro - it's got a 'meatier', more savory quality about it that hits towards the back of the palate instead of the sides & front like the sharpness of the Rosado. Definitely recommend!

RE: Holts Axe They are very good! Similar to the Habano Corona LE, but with a bit more kick. This one is a no-brainer if you like LFD.

If you've never popped the tops, they should be fine - Ideally you should keep them in a cool dark place, thus the 'cellaring'... If they just came from a particularly hot spot, maybe put it in the cellar for a month to settle, but if there is no rust on the tin & it's intact - pop the top &...

The band-less one from Matt is actually a sample of Atlantic Cigar's new house blend (decent medium). The one from Eddie I believe is the OR Jaime Reserva from the Cigar Inn event (lighter than the new release & has a 6yr aged Broadleaf on it - they are REAL good IMO). :thumbsup:

I think the oldest Opus I've smoked to date had 7 years on it & it was great - WAY better than fresh! Truth be told, I prefer LFD to a fresh Opus (I mean that as a compliment to LFD).

I have recently seen a couple of custom humidors come up for sale lately. The starting price was around $45 for the smallest one. The one & only I had was about 2 years ago & I'll confirm that it was very mild - I would certainly not pay $50 for one. There are still a few 160's kicking around...
