It may be because your sticks are sucking up the excess moisture quicker than the cedar in the box? So your sticks have the moisture of a 68% environment even though the leaky humidor itself is reading lower...?

An aged Opus is a different animal than a fresh one - both very good & I'm glad you enjoyed this cigar. Sorry about your experience with this guy - apparently he ripped off a lot of good people. It's a shame.

I've had the Padron (good, young, but a bit pricy compared to the regular anniversary line) & the Garcia Family stick (very good, typical DPG pepper & spice, similar to a Blue Label, but with a bit more coffee taste).
