Pretty easy Nate......Oro, or gold in spanish, has gold trim as the band border with no ribbon at the foot... The Platino, or platinum in spanish, has a silver trim band border, and a silver (platinum) ribbon at the foot.

Yup...that's how I remember em' too. I suppose if any shop was going to get a "1st run" of these, Florida would be the spot....which is where these came from. This review here shows the stick sans cello & ribbon and is from March 09....(who knows how long he had it though or where it came...

well.....they were'nt "sealed" boxes Larry, but they were both full boxes. I can't imagine the B&M taking the ribbon of BOTH boxes if that's the way they came. Perhaps Danilo might know, seeing as he was the one that gave me the referral. Thanks again Danilo, much appreciated bro! :thumbsup:
