• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    HE - Lancero

I personally can't wait either. I don't look for the newest stuff out there, and I have never been about chasing the hype, but these are going to be something I look for definitely.

My air scrubber - home made

Yes, like stated above, there are many different kinds that you can pick up from grow-op stores and the like. I have a need to go the long, hard route, and then kick myself later for not just buying something instead of try to make it. The fan draws less than 1 A. That is the beauty of this...

My air scrubber - home made

My new air scrubber for the man cav.....who am I kidding, the garage. Perforated metal powder coated by a fellow BOTL attatched to a 6" inline fan. In between the outer layer of perforated metal, and inner, there is a 1.5" layer of activated carbon to remove the smoke from the air. Just shy of...

    Cigar Pilgrimage to Mecca

I too have been lucky enough to travel around to cigar countries....aw, who am I kidding, I went to Nicaragua JUST for the Cigar Tourism trip. It was a blast. Been to Havana, but not long enough. Been to Miami's Calle Ocho and all the shops. I have yet to go to any over-priced/rediculously taxed...

    Looking back at 2013

I have learned that you can never underestimate the power of a true BOTL. I have learned to go back and try something you had ONCE and give it another shot as it might have just been a dud. I have learned too that you can't try to chase down EL's, LE's or any kind of limited production stick...

    Am I Going Too Slow?

I am another one in the slow-smoking boat. A "typical" 5x50 robusto will take me around 1.5-2 hours to smoke, but that completely depends on the cigar. Padrons are one's that I can smoke faster, and sometimes take less than the 1.5 hours, but most are longer. Like others have stated above; if...

    Temperature

Just a note; you have to remember that when the temp. goes down, it becomes harder to hold humidity. So, for example, (just as a reference) if you have air at -40 (I know it's a rediculous temp, it's just for an example here) and the humidity is at 70%, if you brought that exact same air up in...

    Oh Romeo

Nice man ! Glad you got the chance to smoke something that old ! I wish I could find something like that, maybe one day things will show up .... like MONEY in my band account haha.

    R.I.P. Big Cle

That is brutal. I am not able to smoke one tonight, but I definitely will tomorrow in honor of a great BOTL. Sad news, but thanks for letting us know about a good friend to many.

    Show/List your latest NC Purchase

Ho-leee-shyte. Impressive score. I really really REALLY wish I could have been there for the comment of "yes, those are for sale". I would rank that as my top 2 all time cigar right now. Good grab.

Does Anyone Else Here Wet Shave, DE or Straight Razor

ATL got me into it. I picked up an Edwin Jagger razor about 3 weeks ago, and haven't looked back. It's a lot easier for me that I thought. I was worried that I would cut up my face, but I must have tough skin because it really does feel the same as shaving with a gilette mach 3. Highly...

    Moving.

Hopefully you aren't moving out of town. It was a nice little visit when I got there last time, hopefully we can do it again. BTW; how hard is it to move a cardboard box with a big humidor inside of it ? I guess you can call that thing a house ....... :P

    Omg!!!

I cannot agree more. These, if you find the right box, are absolutely fantastic. I have a few left of the box I got a couple months ago, it's going really fast. In fact, IronchefScott should be able to give a glimpse of these as well  I have never really liked the D4's all that much...

    Birthday Cigar

Do you have a Barclay Rex ? I smoked one this year for my b-day, and it was AMAZING. I recommend them. Or maybe an aged CC is always a good shot.
