• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Jeb Corliss crashes

Apparently he is just starting to attempt to walk again. His twitter is amazingly positive for a guy that has to go through more rehab than anyone else I have read about lately. He says that he "has spent more time in South African hospitals than out of them"...pushing the limits has its price.

    Dropkick Murphys

Was talking to Wilfred about this the other night. Shiipping up to Boston is one of the songs on my favorites playlist and gets played every time I am taking the boy to hockey. Now I have 2 little ones that are requesting that every time we get in the vehicle...it is a great pump you up song ...

    Trying to decide

Oh yeah, forgot about that. I always forget about temp. control because I never had a problem going above 68 in my basement. I agree that the white wine temp. side will never get up high enough for it to be usable when plugged in.

    Trying to decide

I would not even bother with the cooler option. My first choice would be the cabinet, then the wine fridge, no third heh. There are a lot of guys on here that will post: why don't you get an avallo? This is a valid point, but when you don't have the cash, it comes down to quality for the money...

    Saturday Special Smoke for Don

My first post says it all. I figure another very rare cigar in my small collection is worth it; Tat Drac.

    Saturday Special Smoke for Don

These are the most valuable smokes I have; the blend I created in Nica on my trip last January. Can't get another, can't afford to go on another trip, can't think of a more fitting time. Cigar smokers are worth a million in my mind. RIP

    First box purchase!!

First box for me was RP Rosado Torpedos. I rememer everything, including the $153 in taxes I had to pay on them. Learned the hard way that if you order from the wrong site, they aren't as helpful in getting stuff across the border. That turned me off from ordering anything else for about 2 years...

    Hey from up North

Welcome to THE Forums. I think we have just about completed our round-trip stops in every province now, we just need the far-far-far north haha. If you have any questions, these guys here are all helpful, and friendly. Now you have the daunting task of trying to keep your hands off the "buy"...

My cigar smoking saved the building

Awsome shyt ! Now that's a great story. I love stories of being in the right place at the right time. I guess my Dad, back in the mid 80's, saw a fire developing in an apartment building across the street from where we had stopped for some reason. He rushed over there and pulled some people out...

    Wineador Humidification

I use a Cigar Oasis XL Plus in my mini fridge right now. Keeps everything at the humidity I set. I like to keep my cigars a bit more moist as the ambient conditions are so low right now, so it's set at 67. As my picture show of the new wine cellar I picked up, it's currently about 20-30%...

    Found something that works

Thanks for the info. I actually used a 2.5 pound jug of carbon the other day to try to make a filtration system for the furnace I put in the garage. I think I need more carbon haha. Would post pics, but its not done, or worth a pic.

    Found something that works

It isn't thermo-electric. It is a plate-cooling style, which is awsome, as it won't dry the air out as bad. I will actually be plugging this one in and using the cooling capability because of the passive cooling set up. It has a compressor down at the bottom back, but uses the whole plate from...
