  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    the cromag and aquitaine both, if they were TOO open, would most probably try and kill you. it's not a bad thing that a blend that strong has a decent resistance. o) more that i'm still working through some older stuff, and hoped skip et al. had worked past that production issue. good to know!

    yeah, and don't get me wrong, they tanked that size for a couple years running, and it WAS a shame (and i bought a couple few just in case...), but my understanding was that, if they weren't fully back, they were back for now, and for a while? either or, ON point, i haven't had a TON of current...

    you're a bastard, rob. that's just not right... AND it takes longer than that to really stir up a ghost. you need a year of solid abuse with a gooper, lakeland, or (god forbid) fruit salad themed shisha, to get a truly ingrained and stubborn ghost. the real bastardly ones were picked up off...

    some of it is cleaning, and some of it is just wearing it in to your own preferences, but any ghost can be exorcised, given enough patience. (mind you, never personally had to fight uphill against a lakeland ghost...)

    condolences. one of my first estates was a sav roma prince, acrylic stem, which REEKED of the stuff. took a LOT of cleaning, and a LOT of smoking, to get the guy stable, and now it is a champ on full english blends. still, in my mind, that pipe is named "dead guy cherry".

    find out how she smokes first. also, before you go nots, think about leaving her nude. it isn't a bad grain pattern, and the act of slowly coloring it in as it smokes and is handled makes it more "yours" in the long run.

    syria has been known to produce leaf of quality and note. BUT, as their industry has been sideways to underwater for QUITE a while, i really cannot expect this to be a best showing. hell, it took the kids in NICA decades to stabilize after the sandinistas... then again, seeing what NICA did...

    whtwtrdave, meer is a pretty neutral smoking medium, especially if you keep the bowl cleaned after each smoke. and god willing it usually smokes dry, it's what meer are known for; maybe try letting the tobacco dry, or altering your loading procedure, playing around with that step?
