  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Always sucks feeling like that. Been like that a few times over the past couple of weeks. I need a good break from work or something, I think to really get my head straight. Having a stiff drink and a smoke seems to help. I recommend that as your medicine as well.

    I do the same. Usually start with a 10-15 minute bike ride to warm up. Then it's weights (legs/arms on different days), followed by another 30-45 minutes on the bike. I'm starting to get back into some interval training as well. Sprints, shuttle runs, etc. Need to work on the fast twitch...

    If he was looking for NC vendors that wouldn't be an issue. Any of us are happy to direct him to one of our site sponsors or to other online shops. This wasn't the case though.

    I was the exact same way. Expected them to chill them a bit colder than they do. But I'm pretty used to it and like that they chill it just enough without watering my drink down.

    I'm sure it goes against some sort of USMC code of conduct and I'm sure will lead to discipline in some form.

    I don't think anyone has any sort of delusions that stuff like this doesn't happen at all. It's just that I think most of us expect better out of our our military members. IMO, stuff like this is unacceptable from those who represent the US Gov't.

    It's the restaurant business... Seems cruel to not allow employees to smoke at all. Back when I used to cook the only breaks I got were a quick couple mins out back for a cig.

    I tend to work from home on Saturdays, which usually means sitting on my porch with a bottle of rum/whisky/rye and a cigar or two or three.
