BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'd imagine the band manufacturer is to blame. The cigars aren't flaking brown stuff on to the bands, its the other way around. This "issue" isn't exclusive to Tats. I don't understand why anyone cares honestly. -
L'Esprit de Verite
From what I hear the L'Esprit de Verite are blended lighter the the La Verite and are to be enjoyed sooner. -

I've got a bunch like that as well. I wouldn't worry too much. You could probably wipe them down with a damp cloth / distilled water if it bothers you. Actually, a bunch of cigars I have with gold on the bands are like this. -
Purging...
I will typically purge after the first ash falls off and at the 1/2 way point. If the cigar for some reason goes out, I'll purge before / during the relight as well. -

i think its a 40mm x 10mm, but heartfelt has replacements. I've had it about 2 years, but it rarely ever runs. Maybe twice a week at most. I think they're rated for like 30k hours or something crazy. This had to be a power related blowout, although its running off a UPS, so I doubt it was a... -
