• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

You guys were right, should have just started with the bigger one. (Igloodor)

Thats the problem with the salt test IMHO, a capfull of salt with "some water" at your house is probably different than a capfull at my house. Boveda kit is a good way to go.

My modest collection, 14 months into this passion

Dude, I am so sorry to hear about your job situation, and also sorry you are selling things off. I know how that goes as I havent worked in three months. If you have any Casa Fuente's you want to unload, pm me.

    Critical Mass!

I always suggest a wineador, or a cooler, depending on funds. If you are not messing around and want a really nice humi, just get yourself an Aristocrat

    Humidor Pics! Lets see em!

EXACTLY, sorry for the caps, but I started with a p.o.s. 20 ct from ebay two years ago. Its a slippery slope, some slide faster than others. Just keep smoking bro. Its not a competition.

Nice pick ups bro. Even though the beads are supposed to be (insert percentage here), it doesnt hurt to calibrate your HG.

    Your Favorite Cigar Company

I am betting that you could have put Liga Privada instead of Drew Estates and you would get the same amount of votes. :) I really like the LP line, but that is not enough to make Drew Estates one of my favorites.

Check out the Heartfelt website. They have a calculator to figure out how much to use based on cubic feet. Your walmart weather station is a hygrometer and should work fine, but do a salt test on it to make sure its accurate. If you are looking for something else I recommend the small round...

    Capoeira cigars

Thanks for the heads up guys. I will pick a few up to try out. I usually avoid stuff I have never heard of, but if you all like them this much I will give them a shot.

Project: Vanity to Humidor And Temperature Question

That is awesome man. I wouldnt worry much about temp, except maybe in the summer time when it gets really hot. Its easy to get stressed about temp/humidity. If the cigars are smoking good and your humidity is close, dont worry too much about it.

That is a good way to go. Get yourself some cedar trays, or empty boxes until you get your cedar shelves in. I doubt you are going to see a big difference if you seal the drain plug or not. I would leave it alone. That way, in six months when you run out of room you can buy a 110 qt and use...

Opinions on this humidor (The Imperial, 120ct)

I agree. I got a 28 bottle Vino for a little over $100. If you are really looking for "bang for your buck" just head to the sporting goods store and get a big cooler. I would be a little leary of the great deals on ebay. Like you said, you could end up with a bad seal. I have bought two...

    The Official Budget Stick Thread

I got a box of Fumadores free with an order from Holts a few years ago. I didnt care for them at all. I am a big Pepin fan, but these just didnt do it for me. Maybe I should give them another shot.
