  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Wouldn't recommend a wet sponge in a ziplock. Humidity will climb to 80% +. Dont sweat it, no big deal, just throw them in ziplocks and you will be good to go.

    Hard to complain about something you got for free, but I paid for a few and was disappointed. Maybe not a complete dog rocket, but I could have been smoking something decent for the same price.

    Pencil Shavings....thats what it is.....I never could put my finger on it until I read this post. :applause: I have smoked a couple and would have thought they were OK, if I hadn't paid ~$14 for them, for that price I expected better.

    Is the good stuff better?

    Yes, PM your addy, I will send you a little sampler of some higher end aromatics. The trick is to get lightly cased aromatics instead of heavier cased ones for less bite. Also if you are having bite issues, smoke slower and check your packing technique and the wetness of the tobacco.

    Spanish Cedar/Alternative in Asia

    Stay away from Red Cedar, it does have a scent. Mahogany and Spanish Cedar are the two best options. I am afraid I do not know where/if they are available in that part of the world.

    A real Churchill is about 7x47-48 those are fine with me. Larger Double Coronas or Presidentes are a little big, but if I had to pick one I dont like it is those little bitty 4.25x30 Joyitas, I hate those.

    Is it just me or does this cigar kind of suck? I would say it was OK, if it was 5 bucks, but at $14.... What do you guys think as you are smoking them?
