• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Top Tray Humidification

There are some small almost dust like particles from the beads, but they are innocuous. I think the bead dust would go through the mesh bag as well.......I have a pound of HF beads split into two stockings, and I still get a little dust from time to time.

    Seasoning Humidor

One word, coolidor! I got lucky I guess when my glass top with built in digital hygrometer holds perfectly and reads spot on. I have since built up a 54 ct. igloo with five cedar trays and one lbs. of HF beads and it holds hundreds of singles and over ten boxes of sticks. Cost for everything...

    Partagas Presidentes Belicoso (Tokyo)

I'm not sure either, and this was one of only two left in their humidor and it had some very nice plume on the wrapper indicating a fair amount of age in perfect RH when I smoked it. You can still find them for around 8 bucks...........I paid nearly three times that in Tokyo which is no surprise.

    Padron 1964 Anniversary SI-15 Natural

+1 And add to that, the SI 15 retails for $20 a stick.........way too many killer Padron Anny 64 vitola's to choose from that are priced lower! Another great Review Bryan!

    Partagas Presidentes Belicoso (Tokyo)

Had a nice little evening at Le Connaisseur in Tokyo. So many tasty sticks to choose from so I decided to fire up this Partagas figurado. Beverage of choice was a Mojito, finishing up with a glass of 10 year old Tawny Port. Soapy, floral smelling stick, with very clean construction. Walk in...

    Another Limited Release

I don't mind the LE sticks, and the concept behind "boutique" cigars; small run cigars seem to be all the rage with Viaje, Tatuaje, Illusione, EP, 7-20-4 etc. for the simple fact that these are great tasting cigars. What bothers me (albeit a little) is the shadow games and cloak and dagger...

    Temperatur and beetles

This is from another forum, but I found it to be one of the most informative threads I have read. I freeze everything in double zip locks and keep everything below 70 degrees.......works like a charm. Good luck! http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=7919

    Seasoning Humidor

Patience is your friend! It took weeks for both my desktop and coolidor to stabilize after using 65% HF beads. I prefer my sticks on the lower side of 60%, after having relight and tunneling issues, so my beads are 50/50 clear to white.

    Got a Palio Cutter

I've used/own both Xicar and Palio and they are both amazing cutters. If you can't get a perfect cut with them, you are doing something wrong. I am currently using two Xicar cutters (Xi2, CF X8 for bigger ring gauges) and they work every time.

Smoke these and love these! Such a great morning stick with a nice cup of espresso! Thanks for the review!

    Arturo Fuente Anejos #48

I agree about the other Vitola's being more to my liking. And to clarify, the Anejo does include Opus X filler, but also includes different tobacco grown at the same chateau Fuente farm.

    Arturo Fuente Anejos #48

Purchased a fiver of the #48's a few months ago, and decided to fire one up while the others are put away to age for the next year (at least). Essentially the Opus blend from Chateau Fuente covered in a sweet cognac aged maduro wrapper, the Anejo has a delicious floral and sticky aroma of...
