• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    LAS MAREAS (Crowned Heads)

After a red bloodbath in Week 1 of NFL and 42-second Kansas City meltdown last night, I need something to cheer me up. I'm in. Thanks, @JonHuber

9/11: Smoke a cigar with me in remembrance/appreciation

I had just moved to San Francisco from New York after graduating college. I had driven my beat-up '92 Jeep Cherokee across the United States for a fourth time, this time taking the southern route from Chicago down past the Grand Canyon and through the Arizona desert into Berdoo and Los Angeles...

    Bringing Habanos through U.S. Customs?

Lol! You know, Aloha, I had a layover in De Gaulle and was browsing around the duty free shop. I saw the rum and the cigars and just figured 'what the hell, you only live once.' I figured I might as well hedge my bet on the checked luggage. I owe it all to @Rupe.

What do you do while smoking?

Listen to a baseball game on freebaseballradio.com and read magazines.

    What CC you smoking?

As promised. With thanks to a man who needs no introduction, @ChefBoyRG54 , a.k.a Rasshat! Thanks, Ryan. Too generous. This was one of the best Habanos I've ever smoked. '][/URL]

    What CC you smoking?

LOL! Glad you enjoyed, Ryan. Least I could do. I think today I'll take one of your generous offerings out of the humi to celebrate the holiday with some Havana Club!!! That terrible screen name started as a joke. I didn't even spell 'squirrel' right! :writer:

    Bringing Habanos through U.S. Customs?

Another round of thanks is due to all you guys. I bought 15 different marcas at a little Tabac store in Saint Remy. I packed them in a checked bag. They all made it. At the duty free store at De Gualle, I picked up rum and a box of five Partagas. Put everything in my carry-on and walked right...

    Bringing Habanos through U.S. Customs?

A big thanks to all you guys here. I've decided to make a good ole American run for the border! Lol! I will be checking them and not declaring them. The advice in this thread has been awesome!

    Bringing Habanos through U.S. Customs?

I'm in the Provence region of France this last week and am returning to U.S. on Saturday. There are Habanos everywhere here. I want to bring some back. Will it be a problem going through U.S. Customs if I bring back 10-15 assorted Cuban cigars? Or should I buy a box at the duty free shop at the...

Here's What Could Happen to Cuban Cigar Prices

Very interesting article. It's the first one of its kind to really address some of the bigger questions surrounding the Embargo. This quote from the sanctions lawyer really puts the timetable of lifting the Embargo into clear relief: In 1996, Congress passed the Cuban Liberty and Democratic...

    Expert Opinions Needed, Tupperdor

Because you're using clear containers, be sure they receive no direct sunlight through windows. Otherwise, very smart set-up. I find that a combination of Heartfelt beads and Boveda bags works perfectly for that system. What will you use for humidification?

    Really Rocky??!!

So because the cigar has the stamp of an NFL athlete, it's supposed to be a good cigar? Bringing the Hollywood-attorney mentality to the cigar industry is not necessarily a nefarious practice, but it certainly stinks. And like most things that flow out of the Hollywood bullshit stream, it's all...

    PGA Championship

Spieth did just what he needed to this morning, in order to make a good run this weekend. Should be interesting to see if Dustin struggles in the wind. For the record, I kinda-sorta liked Chambers Bay, only because of the exciting finish, but the course condition was horrible--it was not a U.S...
