BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

My cheap tupperdore set-up (feedback welcomed)
Hygro should not swing 10% during the day regularly. If you can find bovedas, they're better than the foam humidifier. Even kitty litter would work better in that environment. Congrats on the smokes. :) -

Yes, but that's assuming that they're all getting the same flavor (and that it's objective) and that you feel the need to find the same flavor from the cigar. I'm just saying that there are many people who just smoke the cigars (like me) who have smoked for decades and don't get those... -

I think you should try this as I'm sure some would be interested. But just for your information, experienced guys do not always find similar flavors in the same cigar. -

There is no such point. Everyone is different. Wineador is not enough for many people. Only issue is heat. If your house/area is hot, you might need a wineador. If not, regular coolers will work just as fine or better. -

You don't need to waste money on cedar trays right away or ever. Just pick up a box or two from your local cigar shop. -

Anybody using Puisais method to light up?
I often get lazy and don't do this but I find that if I heat up the foot and gently puff while the flame is close to but not on the stick is the most optimal way of lighting a cigar. Flame should never touch the tobacco according to some. I find that helps more than cutting off the top after... -

I was actually being serious with the question. Unless you've had boxes of the cigar and know the flavors, it is hard to pinpoint optimal. Testing the same stick in 5 different rhs won't do the job without a control and a decent sized sample. (and that was way way more than I intended to... -
