• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Did someone mention 'Petuning' ??? Infusing is easy. Petuning takes a bit more effort and time and know how. The end result can have no detectable odor or flavor but be very smooth and delicious cigar whereas most spray flavorings give a cheap flavored effect. There is no substitute for proper...

I've done fair amount of experimentation with flavors/additives and all I can say is... try it and then you'll know. Many additives don't taste like you think they will once you burn them. Many turn bitter and acrid. I've thrown out many cigars but I encourage you to try and see for yourself...

Thanks for the reminder... Once we get into fermenting and other leaf improvement methods we really need to have as subforum to divide the topics. Tools, videos, rolling methods, etc... Otherwise it becomes one long mixed up thread with random ideas thrown in willy-nilly. Please vote!!

GREAT NEWS!!! This is exciting. As you know, it's my main point of focus right now. As you have found, it's where the secrets lie to a better cigar. It's so important to understand that learning to roll a pretty cigar doesn't necessarily produce a good cigar. It's all about the tobacco and how...

My two cents... A tuck cutter is used in production in order to make every cigar exactly the same length and does nothing more. It's a measurement device that speeds up production in order to fit each cigar in a box for shipment. It's also very expensive. The high price of a tuck cutter buys a...

    Recent Sensitivity to Nicotine

I have the same reaction with coffee. I love the combination but it doesn't love me back. Coffee makes me very susceptible to motion sickness. I can take the roughest seas (been in the Navy) and the bumpiest flights (I'm a pilot) but if I have coffee I'll get the worst motion sickness ever.

Did you use double fermented in the filler as well? If it's a used condom you probably won't need any glue for the cap. :wtf: Can't wait to hear how this thing tastes. Looks great. Make sure it's dry!!

Well jump on board! The kiln is fairly inexpensive to make. The only electrical is a light bulb as a heat source. I do use a dimmer as a way of increasing or decreasing temperature. My most recent experiment really requires no kiln. Tobacco sealed in bags or jars and set out at room temperature...

I met her last time I was there a few months back. Did you happen to make it across the street to Tabanero cigars? Also a great little shop in a great historic town.

Sure thing. Glad they helped you! Video #1 is for raw beginners to see if they have what it takes to roll a cigar. (pretty easy really) Video #2 is rolling a bunch using real leaf entubado style. Video #3 explains the Cuban triple cap.
