BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Ways to combat possible mold?
Yep, you should be fine at that. Just make sure you've calibrated your hygro so you know you are getting a good solid reading. What's your storage like? Humidor? Tupper'dor? Wine Cool'idor? A 4% RH swing isn't crazy, but more than I expect to see in many cases. I assume when you say... -
65*/65% help
Not at all. Low 60's (%) is nothing, many even prefer it. High 50's (%) is starting to get in the worrisome range, but not for short periods. You need to give the system time to stabilize. Drop it to 67* and leave it for a week. If everything settles nicely, drop it again by a degree or two... -
Ways to combat possible mold?
I see nothing in those pics that looks like mold. If you see fuzziness when looking at whatever you are seeing it's mold. Wipe it off with a clean cloth and put the sticks by themselves away from your others and check your humidity. Silly question, what's your RH in your humidor? Don't think... -
65*/65% help
Lee, It's not that the lower the temp, the lower the RH will go, but that the lower the temp, the less total moisture can be held in the air. You should be able to get to 65*/65%, it is just a bit harder to maintain because it is easier to overshoot that. Honestly, I wouldn't expect that... -

Check the "Cigar Deals" thread often. Good way to pick up samplers of good sticks without breaking the bank. Or, if you haven't already, look for the "Noob Sampler" thread and get on the list. Gotta break that Trader Rating cherry somehow. :wink: -
