  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    The other reason yoou use Spanish Cedar, besides the aromatic properties, is it's ability to maintain moisture. It is a stable wood when introduced to moisture. Mahagony has that same property. It is used in boat making. The PT boats in WWII would be a great example. I used marine grade...

    I was thinking the same thing. How much moisture gets vacuumed out with the air? Probably minimum amount.

    Looks good in theory. My only concern is the limitation in size for the sticks it can hold. 5 1/2, which eliminates quite a few of my sticks I would take with on the boat. I like to go for late night cruises starting around 10pm and go till midnight. I need a big stick to help fill the time...
