  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Yes, I do think about what I'm going to smoke when I'm at work :) For NCs: The top shelf of my desktop is usually where I put my "smoke soon" selection. These are an assortment of sticks that have peaked my interest at some point in the recent past and I put aside to smoke in the near future...

    The fact it dropped that fast might mean it isn't completely seasoned, bit it could also mean you opened it up and let all the humidity out. It is harder to maintain humidity when it is empty, but if you can get it to stay stable at the RH you want, then you should be fine. Monitor it for...

    Most likely, but can't say for sure. I've never used boveda packs to season so I don't know how long that normally takes, but putting in the lower RH packs helps bring it down because it is two way humidification.

    A lot of people forget the last step when seasoning humidors, you have to bring the RH back down and stabilize it at the number you want. If not, you will have a spike in your humidity and it will be high when you put your cigars in.

    good point, he'll have to confirm about the hologram or try posting other pictures, but based on what you and ninja pointed out about it and going back and looking at the hologram again, i see what your talking about. although I'm not writing off that it just didnt show up right with the camera...

    IMO that appears to be the way they are on the cuban cigar website as well, just this pic is closer so it looks more pronounced or maybe I'm just not being picky enough. The yellow is hard to judge because of the reflectiveness and the lighting and I'm partially color blind. Paying $15 for it...
