• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    What's in your bowl today

i 100% agree with you, sir! they improve the draw, and the clench, but the biggest benefit, for me, is that all of a sudden a cob doesn't feel cheap, but rather it feels like a big boy pipe. change your perception, change your experience. i have one that i swap out between three or four cob...

hell, i picked up a DrG when i turned 18, and just figured out how it works december '12. which was an 18 year tutorial. which makes me feel old and slightly slow... o( plus side, still have the pipe, and it works wonderfully now!

this weekend i shared some C&D engine 99 with some buddies (thanks to a pipe MaW), and also cracked my first tin of hamborger veermaster, in my zavvos. for escudo guys, you SHOULD try this stuff. today, a happy accident: loaded my original DrG with my mixture of McB mixture flake/ PS LNF...

    2014 botl ?????

whili i couldn't do more than speculate, the rest as all y'all, i DO know that, if and when we have another collaboration with a manufacturer, E will make an official announcement with plenty of lead time for people to react. also, pete and joe would do amazing work, but let's not forget how...

    Pipe noob seeking help

yup! cobs can smoke just as well as anything else, and also are essentially disposable, so the perfect tool to cut your pipe teeth, so to speak. also, i am a fan of just regular dr. grabow pipes, if you want a starter briar. more important is that you get something you are comfortable with...

    Maduro Burn Issues

actually i usually experience the opposite, where the wrapper is slower to burn. possibly to due with MUCH thicker wrappers needed to survive the more heat-intensive curing needed for maduros, IIRC? try dry boxing, possibly. or, if the flavor is there, it may be worth suffering through.

    What have I done?

dude, don't sweat it! take as much time as you need, and have fun with it. you don't NEED a couple dozen briars, or dozens of different blends, all the tins and jars lined up... you'll WANT it, but not need it. o)

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

pudgy kinda afternoon, slacking and prepping for a night over at some friends: f#@king delicious, and the sizes work (still love me some minis, though). but, anyone having issues with wrapper glue? chuckie has a little too much on the cap, but jason had enough that i thought i was back to...

    let's talk boots

guys, thank you. there are a TON of solid reccomendations here, and researching them should keep me busy for a minute. for clarifications: - budget is flexible, but NOT rock star. i know you can hardly get a solid set of boots under a hundo, but anything past two and a half and i will need...

    Opus X Angel Share

close, but not entirely true. my understanding is opus angels' share has a different priming of the opus wrapper. the destino that came out last year may have been aged stock? and, yes, i totally agree that it is amazingly smooth, balanced, and rich. also damn yummy. o)

Tatuaje Corona Gorda thin, delicate wrapper

honestly, i can see the tat black wrapper as being a little problematic. if it gets a little too dry (or my dumb ass drops it), you can have some wrapper issues. then again, if it is in the happy zone, they positivelly shine.
