• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Finally!!

The problem that I found while reading most of the day is that there is no "classification" of nicotine usage. Meaning, there is no difference between a chain smoker and a occasional cigar smoker. All of the studies I read through were regarding cessation of smoking (full time cigarette...

    Finally!!

I have tons of time, I'll have to look the study up. During my studies (Kinesiology), I did quite a bit of research on the affect of caffein on healing/the body in general. Unfortunately, I did very little with nicotine and tobacco. I do know that nicotine is a vasoconstrictor (constricts...

    Finally!!

I feel your pain. I'm in the middle of a 6-8 week hiatus because of a broken arm. Doc told me the worst thing I could do was use tobacco, apparently its one of the biggest deterrents of bone growth. So, enjoy it for yourself and me!!

    Help with humidor & rh

Throw the hygrometer in a ziplock freezer bag with the boveda. Note what the hygro is reading. If it's reading 69%, I'd say the seal on the humidor isn't good. If its reading lower, then it's off. No big deal if its "off" once you know by how much. Make sense?
