• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Carved pumpkins: Post em if you got em.

The bigger question is who painted the Hendy pumpkin? Not sure whether show pity or respect to that dude.

What does your spouse think of your cigar smoking?

Mine joins me in a smoke maybe once a week. It's been fun trying different sticks on her in search of 'favorites', but it's a moving target, as all men must know.

Cuba Libre. Great with a couple Fireman's 4's over a game of chess with the wife. She had a Perdomo Habano Corojo. My kind of Sunday evening (winning didn't hurt, either, lol)

I have changed my mind about Rocky Patel

Wow, sounds like there are as many different opinions on RP's as there are RP smokes. The Edge Corojo is still one of my favorites. It's not one of your "hey, look at what I'm smokin', aren't I cool and sophisticated" brands, but on the whole it's a solid line.

Agreed, it sucks again. It was worth a few chuckles during election season last year, but nowadays not so much.

Slow-aged Perdomo Robusto, my first from this fiver. Construction, burn, draw, smoke all great, a little shallow on the flavor, though. We'll see what a more couple months does for them.

5 Vegas Ruination. My first from a fiver received a couple weeks ago. Think I need to let the others rest a couple months and hit it again.

    Review: Alec Bradley SCR

Great review, thanks. I've been trying more of the AB sticks but not yet this one. Have yet to come across one I disliked. Regarding the tight draw comment, it's been my experience that off-the-truck sticks (regardless of brand) have about a 50/50 chance of having a tight draw, even those...

Where is your favorite place to light up your favorite stick?

During the summer the wife and I get in the pool with a couple floaties, set up the ash tray, lighter, and drinks on the ledge, and puff away while the stars come out. We call it "float & smoke". A great way to spend a Friday evening.

Selling my Harley Street Glide To Get a House!

Stroke, a bunch of us have been down that road....bike, marriage, bike makes an exit, house, kids, then eventually another bike. I will say it is so much fun when you get back into it again after a long layoff. So hang in there, bro, your time on two wheels will come around again.

    Review: Cuba Libre

I've always enjoyed the Cuba Libre, great smoke for the price. My only complaint is an uneven burn, but I usually smoke a larger ring gauge than the one reviewed here. Not sure if that what makes the difference in the burn, but always a great tasting stick.
