  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Lots of Drew Estates, Tats, Illusiones, Davidoff's, Oliva Vs, Jericho Hills....those were my main ones, but I would smoke lots of different ones.

    If I were starting over, I would get either a Wineador straight off or barring that, a 75 QT Coleman cooler and line it with Spanish cedar.

    Does the size of a cigar affect how long you let it rest?

    Not so much for me. I do try to keep it to 3-4 puffs a minute but moreover it's about strength. With stronger cigars, I might go a little slower and milder cigars a little quicker.

    Thanks....not working steadily was messing with my head badly. Started questioning a lot things but I'm starting to get caught up on bills and stuff like that so I'll be able to buy stuff again. It's amazing how many new cigars came out in 3 years.

    Welcome to the club! I had one of those in a <God forgive me> Gurkha. Lit it up, noticed an extremely light draw but little smoke. Removed the band and there was the beetle hole. When I got home, everything got packed up and frozen for three days. Cleaned the humi and have not had a problem...

    If the cello isn't sealed, ask the clerk if it's okay. If it's sealed with a manufacturer's sticker...you open it, you buy it.

    I really don't see the need to do this. You should be able to tell the quality of their humidor by the condition of the sticks when you feel them. As a customer, I would never consider doing this. As someone that worked in a cigar lounge, I would be offended if someone did that. Would you go...
