• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Monte 2 Gran Reserva's

I can buy almost anything by the bundle in Havana but I still by sealed boxes just to make sure my sources are honest. That said if it came boxed and banded you should be pretty safe. Or if it came from Art I am guessing safe as well

    Monte 2 Gran Reserva's

There was a lot of people including from here getting ripped off and as far as I could tell I was the only one with a guaranteed authentic example with provenance to go with it. The guy was exploiting the fact that people knew they existed but couldn't get examples to compare against.

What Cigar's Do You Almost Always Dry-box?

Not so bad. Lots of good 5 to 8 year old cigars available out there.

What Cigar's Do You Almost Always Dry-box?

Can't dry box here as they die almost instantly in our low humidity. Worst case scenario keep aging give them 10 or 15 years at 65 and should be no smoking issues.

    Monte 2 Gran Reserva's

Smoked a couple already and shared a few as well. When there was a big scam on another site I sent some to a couple of guys to prove the fakes were fakes. I love the cigar and will be picking some up but in Havana not at Canadian prices.

    Pliny the Younger

Not really in the same class. 120 is 18% and a triple/quad ipa if there was a class like that. Pliny the younger is still 11%. May be in the same category as elder but it is a really impressive beer. It is amazing any time but very few ipa's have come close to very fresh Pliny for me.

    Common Sense & Discretion

People can feel free to pm me. Not that I am any use as have not really ever ordered Habanos online but I can give you some really expensive places in Canada to go buy your smokes. Or give you a list of what shops to go to in Havana.

    Springfield MO Herf: Sat, Feb.18th!

Will be thinking of you guys. I unfortunately won't be able to make it so as a consolation we are having a dinner here and smoking a box of the new monte 2 Gran Reserva. Guess I will settle

Not very impressed with the My Father line

I wouldn't call myself a new smoker and I still call these harsh with under processed tobacco. I know a few others that have progressed from loving the "ninja kick to the throat" to enjoying more balanced cigars. I think the biggest thing is there are different preferences. MRN talks about how...

    Tubed cigars and humidors

I Prefer to keep them sealed in the tubes and in a humi. Have had some fantastic luck with old boxes of upmann corona minors in tubes that had been sealed for over 10 years. For a cheapish cigar they were amazing

Beer drinkers: I've got a question for you

I think the big brands have already seen that things are changing and their are some concerns that go with it. The big breweries have one thing that the small breweries don't have and that is big money. If they start to see too much of an impact they will buy up more craft breweries. Think Goose...

Not very impressed with the My Father line

Nothing wrong with not liking the My Father line. I find the more I get past the hype of cigars the less I like them. I am not a fan of very many Pepin made cigars (including tats) when they are young. That said after 3 to 5 years I am a huge fan. The big pepper spice kick that most pepins start...

God of Fire Serie B robusto

Depends what you were expecting. I had the same thoughts with the first GoF I smoked. Now I love them but just have to be in the mood for mild delicate cigar.

Fk that. No bombs but maybe you are putting yourself back on the radar with talk like that. It will be filled with booze and smokes tho. Think it is time to see if the cgr's are getting any better.
