• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

pipesandcigars.com has dunhill tins B2G1. for realzies! my order averaged to five and a half bucks a damned tin! the cynic in me says this is due to skandanavic (which owns general, therefore dunhill) buying them out. the greedy little b1tch in me just dropped a small stack into his...

    Herrera Esteli

had one so far, the over-ring-guaged toro, courtesy of dub. not a single burn problem, thankfully. really surprised me with the strength, but i thought it worked with the blend. i really dug on it, and will be revisitiny the blend, but that's just me. and, yes, i could see these possibly...

Can a cigar be too old?

it's a lot like wine: not all bottles cellar well, and none for exactly the same time period. they won't be BAD, per se, just thinner and vaguer, a pale shadow of former glory. part of developing a palate is picking apart favors. another part of it is seeing the similarities with other...

    The Golden Cigar: $200

IIRC the flecks in some of the garcia's broadleaf comes from mineral content in the soil. sometimes see it in a 7th reserva, looks VERY pronounced in the TAAs and cojonu12res.

Guidelines on calculating storage size (for humidification)

for boveda or beads, really you can't have too much, it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to over humidify. you can also move them around after you stabilize your box. for calculating space, manufacturers always roll them a little higher than what they hold (like, you are NOT going to get a hundred...

    Surgery setbacks...Ciggy

tom, sorry the road was longer and more arduous than planned, but you are still walking it, it hasn't stopped you in your tracks, and looks to hopefully be straightening out for you. you still got your family at your back, and your friends (both present and distant!). stay up, man, you'll get...

    Ortega Serie D No. 6

classic bugman review, keep it clear and simple. thanks, dan! too much new has come out, and too many LEs, and it unfortunately makes gems like this hard to find amidst the clutter and clamor. which is a shame, because they're yummy and all. o)

    Opus X Prices

i can pick up that stick right now for $12 out the door. in fact, i did on the way home. o) FWIW, KY taxes don't suck, and i am blessed with honest B&Ms, so there's that. then again, that can't all be NY tax. my guess, they just threw them up because they have an online site, people are...

    Alec Bradley Family Blend VR1

... if cbid ships to the great white north. big difference there. the AB family blend line normally runs five-ish, six-ish down here? decent stick, made at raices cubana, same factory as illusione and viaje, and has a few fans. IMO the quality has gone down since the original single vitola...
