  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    are you planning this as a box pressed line (at least the larger vitolas, can't actually imagine a BP lance)? a larger ring can actually work in a press when it comes off as obnoxious in a round format. FWIW you all have been doing great work, and i look forward to seeing how these come out...

    Cutting Question

    1) icehog3 is right, no issues cutting in advance, but make sure you are cutting high on the cap: too low on the shoulder and it might not stay intact. 2) really like shaunylw's idea of tossing him a cutter! maybe getting him his own gear helps feed his interest? teach him well, man, and enjoy!

    myself, i usually grab something that got sent to me, gift/ bomb or trade, and let the fact that i have touched base with so many cool people tie in to the holiday experience. then again, with my gig holidays roll a little different, i basically work them all. god love job security. o)

    had a couple boys over to shoot the breeze tonight. we are all leaning pipe at this point, so it was really amateur hour, but it was fun, so who cares. o) burned down some sutliff moulin rouge i got in a sampler, might actually be able to do aromatics.
