Found these on my local Craigslist and was wondering if (1) they are a good price and (2) are these good models for turning into humidors.

Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated!

The Danby I believe is a compressor so not ideal...The Edgestar though is a good one and at $100 its a great deal as long as its in good working order

The Edgestar is a good buy...esp if it works well and you can squeeze the guy on the price a bit more... heh heh.

I'd personally pass on the Danby unless you wanted it for wine... It's compressor driven and not ideal for a conversion.

You can never have to much wine right Larry? I say
get em both if you can swing it! 35 is a pretty decent
capacity if you have some nice bottles of wine that
you want to store.

Great idea but I only drink Port Wine and it don't need to be chilled, and it don't get cold enough to store my beloved beer!

I'm I missing something here, I have emailed the seller twice and have yet to hear anything back.....is that the way Craigslist works?

It's not the way it's designed to work but I've come to realize some people are just really poor at checking emails and responding timely. I also suspect when the item is already sold some people don't have the decency to respond and tell you. Give it a day or so and send another message. If they still don't respond they are probably sold.

Yeah the date on the posting is 9/19/10 so if he's not responding, I'm guessing they are sold.
