  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Nice to see a new face get a green jacket ... and you can't get much newer than Zack Johnson. It's amazing that only 6 yrs ago, he was in the gallery with his college buddies! Great round of golf for him on Sunday.

Conditions made it a tough course this year. Sunday was wide open ... but Tiger seemed like he was in a funk for most of the day ... and no one else seemed to want to make a sustained charge.

Great story with Zach. A fresh face is good for the game. I found it to be a pretty boring tournament though; one of the worst I can remember. The course was playing too tough for a good Sunday charge and the only real excitement seemed to be Tiger's eagle on 13. The galleries and even the commentators seemed very subdued. This Master's reminded me more of the brutality of a U.S. Open, Last Man Standing kind of thing. . .:dunno: The good thing was that the hard, fast conditions allowed the shorter hitters to get into the fray. Johnson played every par five as a three shot approach and who can argue with his logic now? The one thing I think Augusta should have done was soften the greens on Sunday to allow for the great shot that would hold the green. It would have kept the short hitters in the game and allowed for the excitement of the back nine charge. . .One of the amazing things to me was that Tiger only had his "C" game and still came in second. That either tells me that either everyone completely sucked or that Zach was just the luckiest.

Doubt we'll remember who won it in a year. I watched on Sunday and it wasn't very exciting.

everybody will remember the conditions under which he won, not necessarily who won but how it was done..
