2016 BOTL Pipe - Finishing Touches Poll

We're down to the last steps in design for the 2016 BOTL Pipe of the Year.
Some requests were made for a Cumberland stem and a trim ring.
Please discuss below and vote above. (in Tapatalk, go to Menu and choose Web View)

I've set this up to allow multiple choices, so if you'd like both or neither, but not just one or the other, you can vote accordingly.
We'll do this for two days, then do a run-off with just the top two choices if appropriate.

• Keep as is, plain black Ebonite stem, no trim ring ($225)
• Change to marbled Cumberland stem, no trim ring ($230)
• Add trim ring, stay with plain black Ebonite stem ($245)
• Change to marbled Cumberland stem & add matched trim ting ($250)

Feel free to add pictures below to help visualize your thoughts for/against the choices you make.
And, please discuss. The more dialog we have during these decisions, the better informed we can all be.
Votes can be changed if you change your mind as people discuss.

What color(s) will the marbled cumberland stem be??? I'm intrigued.

If it was just the stem, we could do pretty much anything I guess.
But if we go trim ring and Cumberland, probably a lighter tan marbling in the black stem with a tan wood trim ring. Spalted Maple is what was discussed in the main thread, so we'd probably try to go something with that look and feel.

Haha guess I had the unpopular choice. I think a sparred maple trim ring with black stem would look pretty good. Just going to have to sit in my corner about the saddle bit idea. Still really excited about this pipe

Personally I feel like we should do both or neither and I would be happy either way, the spalted maple will provide a nice contrast with a Cumberland stem imho

With the overwhelming majority opting to splurge for the extras, there's no need for a runoff poll.
This year's pipe will be a contrast stained sandblasted Author with trim ring and Cumberland stem.
