  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This ones are out there for those with insomnia like I.

First, the snack:

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 slice bread
  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • Peanut Butter (enough to spread)
  • 6-8 walnut pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey

DIRECTIONS
  1. Spread the peanut butter on the bread
  2. Add the banana slices
  3. Add the walnut pieces
  4. Drizzle Honey

Next,the drink:

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 drops vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pour milk into a microwave safe mug and place into microwave. Cook on High until the milk is very hot and begins to foam, about 3 minutes. Stir in honey and vanilla, then sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.

And hope this makes ye sleepy enough. Not even me Irish Harp Music is doing the trick tonight, though.

AcK!!! I coulda used this last night. Didn't sleep a wink. damn flu bug. Tried 3 stiff drinks and some nyquil before bed time and nothing but tossing and turning.

Tried my ol standby of peanut butter cookies, brownies and milk around 12:30 and that didn['t work either.

But peanut butter and honey washed down with warm milk should certainly do the trick.

I'll have to give that a go tonight if the bottle of wine i drink first doesnt' work.

Hehehe, when i was around 5-10years old, i always used to stay up late with my mom because she was sewing stuff and well, like i never liked sleeping early she used to make strawberries with vermouth so that me and brother and sister can sleep early.

But this recipe, my mom had it once and she said that it made her sleep like a baby. She needed it because her allergies wouldn't let her sleep.
