  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

300 yrs up in smoke today!

Well I brought about half the package of aged clear havanas that I received from Mitch in our trade to the shop today after a long day of training at the firehouse. 3 oclock I met a few(6) botl that I've become close to at the shop for the herf with package in hand. I handed the White Owl to the B&M owner Jamal and a mixed bag to the others. I took the Thompson. We began to light the old bastards up and boy were they good!
I started with the Thompson. It was definitely old with crystals shimering in the sunlight storefront. Very Very clean smoke. I was retro haling like a tunnel it was so smooth. The shop owner Jamal said and I quote (in my best impersonation) "Justin, dis ciga is like no chit man 1 of the best cigas i'v had". "Im not shittin you home team, dis ting is so smooth and taste great" You should of seen it he was like a kid in a candy store. This guy owns 3 stores and smokes every day and to see the smile on his face was priceless.
Everyone said they couldnt believe how good they tasted. Very Very mild but flavorful. I had a second a Prince Heinrich and liked it more then the Thompson. It had Barnyard and Asparagus flavors( I know but I liked it) and when I left to go to pee and get a drink 5 mins later it was still burning perfect, no relights, on anyones smokes! Everyone kept asking where the hell I got something like this. I told them the story about Mitch and how he is so generous with things like this. They all said he sounds like a hell of a guy and I said they have no Idea. "Im telling you guys BOTL is such a great forum, with so many great BOTLs".
Any way just wanted to share my experience today with everyone, it was trully a great day. And to Mitch I know we made a trade and all. But I really wanted you to see how such a great thing could impact more then 1 botls day. It was all smiles thru out the shop!
(p.s. I have a few more so dont be suprised if 1 or 2 slip into a trade or maybe even a NC PIF)
Justin

Mitch is cool! Sounds like a great time you had there, Justin. I wish I knew more people around me who smoked stogies--there is just something cool about lighting up with a friend.

Mitch is awesome and I'm always surprised by how willing brothers here are to share some of the rarest cigars in the world just to see another botl fill up with pleasure. Great job all around!

Thanks for sharing this with us!

This is what the best of cigars are: an experience, a memory, a moment shared with good friends.

That was a great story, very funny impression.

Also further validation towards my "Mitch has a time machine theory".
