So production of this cherished (by some) bean is down 10% due primarily to Anthracnose, Hemileia Vastatrix and the Coffee Berry Borer, which are affecting their crops. The Jamaica Coffee Industry Board is reported to be working to educate farmers in ways to combat the health problems of the coffee plants.

JBM #1 Coffee is rarely found in pure unblended form. If/when you do find it, expect it to be both dear in price and in short supply again this year. Which is 2007, not 3007...LOL.

I paid about $26/lb for green beans. To be honest, there's no way I'll pay that much for beans again. With all the quality beans available at a fifth of the cost, with sometimes better results, I don't see any reason to buy that stuff.
