So I was making my rounds on the cigar websites this afternoon and saw that traveling stogie just posted a review of a preproduction T52 6x60, so apparently they exist. I'm not surprised given that Steve Saka has said multiple times how they are always working on new blends and experimenting and have always been very open on the issue. I'm usually not a fan of 60+ ring gauges, but I will admit that since it's a Liga I will have to try at least one to see how it is myself. My question is, has anyone else tried one and/or what are some of the memorable preproduction/prereleases you have smoked from DE or other manufacturers?

EDIT: here's a link to the article if anyone is curious

Wish they went the other way on that one and went sub 50 rg for a T52. I believe they are all at least 52+ already... T52 Toro is still one of my favorite Ligas though.

I feel the same way, I'm not a 60 ring gauge Fan. I only have 1 in my humidor and it was given to me.

I got to try one last year. About all I can say is it was a 60 rg t52. Can't say that it made it any better. I'd be more interested in a smaller rg

Knowing how they roll with the LP stuff I'm sure it'll be tasty and of good quality. There's also enough people out there that do the whole jawbreaker thing so I'm sure they'll sell the crap out of them...even at $15+ a stick. Personally I don't think it's for me and, as others have stated already, wish they'd gone the other direction. T52 PL or PC would have been sweet IMHCSO. Little worrisome to me that they'll be putting resources into making these which may make some of the other sizes a little harder to come by. It is of course entirely possible that these won't see the light of day or will only do so on a limited basis when/if they do...I mean how long did it take the L40 to get finalized and I've never really seen a lot of JD4 on the shelves. JD and Saka are good at what they do and it's their company so...

A more T-52ish frita would rock, I'm sold short filler, please make more great small stix in that format and drop the price slightly, I'll smoke those wee scraps, and all that good tobacco will stretch further.

I'd love to see a 5x40 T52. There must be some reason they don't roll them smaller rg's. Maybe they have done it experimentally and didn't think the blend worked?

Everyone (including me) complains about 60 rg cigars but aside from a slight taper at the head and foot, what size is a FFP?

Answer: 5-3/8 x 60 and there's no shortage of love for FFPs around here. Granted the taper takes away the "jawbreaker" effect somewhat but it is still a 60 rg cigar.....just sayin'

Personally not a fan of the FFP size, so definitely would pass on this one regardless of regular production, LE, htf or whatever the case may be.
