The problem for those of us that are still fairly new to CCs is not knowing what to buy and aging a bunch of cigars for 5 years to find out is a fairly daunting task. I don't disagree with anything you wrote, just adding a bit to the discussion. :)
None of us know what to buy without asking what has worked well in the past. :) That's how I've done it, reading up on what seems to consistently age very well, then cross my fingers that I didn't just waste 5 years. If you have room, you can take a risk and try some others out.

No matter what anybody says, it's a bit of a gamble when it comes to aging cigars.

What is good "age" for CC's? I know it's a pretty relative question, but 2-3 yrs, 4-5 yrs, 10 yrs?

I have 4 Monte C EL2003 that are from 2003 and they taste like no other CC's i've had. Could this be from 9 yrs of aging?
