Would it be bad form to request a private message from an experienced brother regarding that which we do not speak of? Don't want to get ripped off. Any help would be appericiated. I've been looking around and one message board will be positive and another negative. Be nice to know any pain saving tips. Thanks.

Generally speaking, it is considered bad from to PM a stranger asking for sources and it's actually against the rules to ask for sources on the open forum.

The best way to get what you're looking for is to get involved on the board. Get to know people, form relationships, and then you'll have access to whatever information you need, information given from one friend to another.
