I prefer to keep the cello on, cuz I keep my humi up high, away from little hands. I've found that the cigars without cello eventually suffer damage to the wrappers after the humi makes enough trips onto and off of the shelf.

Yea you should ask the mods to add a catgory to your Poll for (BOTH). I leave em on if it comes with it and store them both ways. So I really couldn't answer your Poll. I believe there was another post like this not to long ago as well.

I prefer the nakedness of non-cello sticks, but I can see the flaking feet of those that get shuffled around while maintaining the humi. I've actually saved cello from a few sticks to slip some naked ones into.

I always take the cello off. although...The one positive to keeping the cello on is seeing it get nice and yellow over the years.

Where's the "cannae care less" option? That said, for general questions like this, tmoney2007 showed how the answer is usually one search away.

Based on the feedback so far, It would seem you need to add at least a few more choices on your poll. A few suggestions...

it really depends of the wrapper leaf and the strength of the cigar for me. if the wrapper is thick that's fine to remove the cello but if not the wrapper my get cracked or so. and the milder cigars i fine they really loose there flavors when no cello so i keep it.

I was a little hesitant about this at first but after talking with other members and trying a number of cigars that were aged in cello that tasted great I figured its both easier to leave them on and prevents them from being damaged. It all really comes down to preference I suppose

I like to keep them on for 2 reasons: one it keeps the wrapper protected when I am moving them around or inspecting them and two I can tell by the yellowing of the cello how its coming along.
