  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I’m expecting an Avallo EZ Accumonitor in the mail any day. It is for my cabinet humidor. My problem is while I was inspecting my 7 drawer humidor it had a white fuzzy mold looking substance on the bottom of every drawer. My humidors hold the humidity level between 66% and 71% fairly regular. What I need to know is should I be very concerned about the fuzz, and what to do about it.

I have heard and read in a lot of places that a easy wipe down of denatured alcohol should kill any mold that is growing but that requires finding another place for your babies.

Yea I have empted it out. I’m going to whip it down good with de-natured alcohol. Then I will let it dry and re-season it. Hope that works.

RonC told me I didn’t need to re-season it again. The presents of mold says it has too much moisture. That sounds reasonable to me. Thanks for the help guys. I knew I could count on my Brothers.
