for all you gun guys who have an army surplus ammo can laying around, I just had this product made. Its a foam insert that turns your 30 cal ammo can into a pistol case.
I saw a couple of examples of these on the internet, but they are not available anymore. I thought it was a great product, so I made me own, and also made a couple of improvements.
You can usually get a 30 cal ammo can for about $6 at a gun show or flea market. The foam inserts will sell for $12. So for about $18-$20, you have yourself an airtight, waterproof, super sturdy gun case.
it is holding a 1911 size blue gun.
the magazine slots hold other items as well as magazines.
